60-Day Experiment
Guess what I've been doing the past two weeks? Give up? Writing an ebook! And writing a sales letter for my new ebook! And designing a new website so that I can promote my new ebook!
Prior to blogging, I had no online experience or presence at all except a few published articles on other websites. Then I started to wonder, "why am I supporting these other websites by supplying them with great content when I could be writing my own great content on my own profitable website?"
One big problem (which is actually many all wrapped up in one): How do I do it?
I've always enjoyed writing, and I've always intended to get online SOMEDAY. The idea of an online business has always been intriguing to me. Could it really work? Could I really make money in my jammies? Or while I'm sleeping, or lying on the beach in Maui? (Or both?) I knew other people did it, but obviously they know much more than I do about the Internet. How could I ever catch up???
Frankly, the more information I found about doing business online, the more I realized I didn't know. Eventually, the very idea of setting up a profitable website became overwhelming proposition; what with so many website design options, web hosting options, search engine optimization, PDF conversion options, affiliate marketing options, viral marketing, optimal sales letter copywriting, and everything else you have to think about to be successful. Us writers would rather just do what we love to do -- WRITE!
Then came the 60-Day Experiment - to the rescue! I can't say enough about it! More specifically called "60 Days to 100K," the Experiment has taken me and many more like me on a journey like no other, step-by-step, from Internet "blockhead" to teaching me how to turn my words in CASH! The facilitator, David Perdew, is also a "frustrated" writer; wanting to write but worrying about the bills, just like the rest of us. So, he came up with the 60-Day Experiment and never looked back!
We started the Experiment by identifying a vision. We learned to focus on what we really love, and translated that into an online business concept. We discovered the tools we needed to develop our blogs or websites, and learned how to promote and optimize the sites once built. We found a niche market, developed ebook concepts, composed sales copy, wrote our ebooks, and now we will be marketing them through our sites and affiliates. There is also a members' forum, where we fellowship with one another, share experiences, and exchange resources.
My ebook is finished, my website is nearly done and soon to be live, and I'm excited!
The 60-Day Experiment is a goldmine of information and a great catalyst. It forced me to get up off my duff and do what I wanted to do instead of just dreaming about it. It provides hands-on guidance through day-to-day lessons that even an untechnical mind (like mine) can understand and follow. I can't thank David enough for putting this together for us writers, and to all of the participants have been so supportive!
If you have ever dreamed of having an online business, take at look at the 60-Day Experiment. You'll love it!
(By the way, the next session starts October 1st, so hurry!)
