Awesome 80's Music Video!!!

A little background first... I supervise summer day camp at the Blackfoot Community Center, which includes swimming, bowling, community service projects, arts and crafts, a garden, city hikes, and lots of other stuff. AND this year it also meant preparing for an end-of-summer musical production! All summer the kids choreographed their moves and rehearsed for their musical performances to their chosen music. Even the youngest ones faithfully practiced putting on a show! Of course, the staff had to perform as well, and with almost no rehearsal time, I wondered what we could come up with.

The evening itself included a BBQ dinner, our giant waterslide, a free book giveaway, and the BIG MUSICAL. I plan to post the kids' group performances on YouTube, but couldn't resist posting the staff performance (if you can call it that) here as well. We chose an 80's music mix for our performance, came up with some "costumes" (if you can call them that), rehearsed (kinda), and here you go. Silliness prevails... Listen to the laughter - after all, kids love to see a little wackiness in adults once in a while. The topping on the cake is the parent who stands up at the very end for a good pic - right in front of the camera. Love it!
